Community Rules
1. Be respectful
Respect is very important, whether it be of new or old members, or non-community members. We ask from everyone in TTRO to be respectful towards each other and towards others, even if you don’t agree with the other party. Avoid using an offensive name and/or offensive picture on our Forums and TeamSpeak.
People who are found repeatedly using insults and/or who have bad behaviour will be dealt with accordingly.
2. Respect the chain-of-command
Our ranking structure is very important in keeping the community organised, therefor it is primordial that you respect it. If you feel like someone has abused their power however, please report it directly to the Executive Officers.
3. No cheating
Cheating in online games is strictly forbidden, stat padding, use of external programs to perform hacks or cheats and other actions classified as cheating in a game’s Terms of Service will get you banned from our community.
If you see somebody cheating, please report it to us as quickly as possible
4. Be active
While we do not require you to play a certain number of hours every week, it is very important that you keep at least minimal activity in the community, either through the forums or the TeamSpeak. If you are going to be inactive for a very long period of time, please inform us about it.
Members who have been inactive for a very long time, may have their forum account/rank removed.
Teamspeak Rules
1. Push-To-Talk Mandatory
Even though you might be in the quietest room in the world, have one of the best microphones and not breath, continuous transmission and voice detection are to be avoided at all costs. Please use Push-To-Talk while on our TeamSpeak to keep communication clear.
Also please avoid assigning your Push-To-Talk key to the same key as in-game push to talk, as echoing can be quite annoying for both parties.
2. Respect the Channels
We have many channels on our TeamSpeak for many different purposes, their descriptions are there to inform you of what their use is, so please avoid using the wrong channels. Avoid entering Command Channel when you are neither SL nor PL and avoid sending text messages in the AFK Channel. People using the wrong channels will be moved appropriately.
3. Don't Flood the Server
Don’t flood the server log by changing channels every second, don’t flood the text chat by spamming messages and don’t flood the voice chat through extensive use of soundboards or music streaming. People seen flooding the server will be dealt with appropriately, this may go as far as temporary or permanent exclusion from our TeamSpeak server.
4. The TTRO Teamspeak is a TTRO only service
Our server is meant for our community members. We do not mind if you have your friends around in a channel, as long as you are a part of our community and tell a TeamSpeak moderator or administrator about it. If you are not part of our community we kindly ask you to either join the community, find a public TeamSpeak server that allows people to create their own private channels, or host your own private TeamSpeak server.
Planetside 2 Rules
1. Join Teamspeak
Relaying orders through in-game VoIP is highly encouraged, however to avoid many communication problems it’s also important that you connect to our TeamSpeak server, as in-game communications are quite unreliable and break often. You are not required to have a microphone or talk, but it’s important that you are on the server to listen to important orders.
2. Alt-Characters
We do not condemn the creation of alt-characters on other factions, however it is forbidden to connect to our TeamSpeak to purposely annoy/troll other members with this.
If you are playing another faction and an Officer or Executive Officer asks you to move to another channel, you are required to do so.
Failure to respect this will result in temporary or permanent exclusion from our TeamSpeak server.
3. Squad/Platoon Leading
We highly encourage everyone to try their hand at leading, therefor we demand that new leaders be respected and not insulted by veteran leaders. If you have a valid concern about a certain tactic or move, please voice it calmly and in a structured manner but remember the PL has the final say in what goes.
Backseat leading is also something to be avoided as it is highly annoying for all parties involved.
Forum Rules
1. Outfit Membership
This forum is meant for our community members. We will welcome anyone from another community who wishes to cooperate with TTRO.
Old forum accounts from non-members who have been inactive a long time may get removed during a cleanup.
2. Your display name should be your in-game name
To avoid any kind of confusion, you are required to have the same display name on the forums as you do in-game. If you have signed up with a different account name, you can still change your display name under your profile settings.
3. Post in the right category and avoid off-topic
As on any forum, please post in the right category and avoid off-topic as much as possible to keep topics on-point. Also avoid necro as much as possible, even if it is to signal a moderator about the need to archive the topic.
If you have any questions, issues or reports to make, please use the 'Support' button on the forums.
